As a new vehicle arrives another two go on an adventure

The 5th of September was an exciting morning for us all at OMS as we took delivery of our lovely new ambulance built by our friends at Blue Light Services. The new ambulance has been made to our specification to provide the ultimate comfort and safety to all our patients and their families and escorts on long distance journeys and repatriations.

Sadly, it meant there was no room at the inn for our trusty PTS truck and it was also time for another member of the fleet to head off to pastures new so 2 ambulances headed off on an adventure to reach their new home in Northern Ireland. In a period of 16 hours the vehicles left base, headed to Holyhead caught the ferry to Dublin and travelled across the Irish border to Omagh. This was the end of the journey for the vehicles but not for the drivers who then caught a plane from Belfast airport back to Bristol and a taxi back to base. What a day!

We are so pleased with our new truck and are looking forward to providing the best patient transport services in it.
